David Jaroszewski has 40 years of community college teaching and leadership experience, as classroom instructor, department chair, and as dean (36 years at Lee College, and 4 years at HCC).  He advocates for high impact practices to promote student success and transform HCC.

David is a life-long resident of the Westbury area in southwest Houston.  He is a graduate of Westbury High School, Sam Houston State University, and South Texas College of Law.

David is the only candidate (including all current board members) who has any community college experience outside of service on the board of trustees.  He is a member of the School Law Section of the State Bar of Texas.

David's past service to the community includes:

Six years as PTO president at the high school and elementary school levels,

Membership on the HISD Public Engagement Committee,

Membership on State Bar of Texas Grievance Committee.
